Existential Psychotherapy

Vujisic, Zoran

The existential approaches emerged more or less independently in the 1940s and 1950s in different countries in Europe. Most existential therapists were psychiatrists with a background in psychoanalysis who felt that the person was being lost in the psychodynamic approaches. Rollo May was largely responsible for introducing existential therapy into the United States.
